Amba Hospital for Women and Children has started a unique infertility clinic for childless couples. Infertility clinic doesn’t mean a test-tube baby centre.
Here, first we try to find out reasons of their infertility by a detailed checkup of the lady, hormone tests and a transvaginal ultrasound scan of the lady and a semen examination of the man. We do an HSG x-ray to see if the fallopian tubes of the lady are blocked or not. If there is a hormonal defect, we treat it with medicines; if there is a defect of the uterus, we do a hysteroscopy and remove the defect.
If we don’t find a defect or after removing the defects, we do IUI (In Utero Insemination). The results of the IUI are as good as those of the test tube baby process at a small fraction of the cost.
