Amba Hospital for Women has started a specialized Infertility Clinic for couples who are unable to conceive. This infertility clinic is not a Test-Tube Baby (IVF) center. Here, we first try to find out the cause of their infertility. For this, we perform a complete check-up of the woman, hormone tests, and a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan, as well as a semen analysis for the male.

To check if the woman’s fallopian tubes are blocked, we perform an HSG (Hysterosalpingography) X-ray. If there is any hormonal deficiency, we correct it with medication; and if there is a problem in the uterus, we remove that defect by performing a Hysteroscopy.

If we find no issue, or if the efforts are unsuccessful even after correcting the issues, we proceed with IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). The outcome of IUI is as good as that of Test-Tube Baby (IVF), but the cost is much lower.
